Schedule District Congressional Meetings to Push for Reg Relief

With the August congressional recess kicking off at the end of next week, ICBA is urging community bankers to start scheduling district meetings with their members of Congress now using ICBA’s Be Heard grassroots website.

ICBA is leading the fight on Capitol Hill to reduce the regulatory burden on community banks, but grassroots support is needed to ensure Congress acts on pending legislation. Lawmakers have introduced 26 bills with provisions from ICBA’s Plan for Prosperity. Meanwhile, the comprehensive CLEAR Relief Act (H.R. 1750/S. 1349) has 171 cosponsors in the House and 36 in the Senate.
