Wait till you run into Sheila Lovell; you’ll never forget her. She became Bethel’s new Church Administrator this week amidst glowing recommendations. She takes over for Kirsten Kinder who was with the church for almost 2½ years.
Sheila and her husband, Sean immediately entered into the life of Bethel after moving to Columbus from Indiatlantic, FL in late May. Sean coached the church’s co-ed softball team this past summer and Sheila directed the brand-new OSU Concessions Project in September. Sean then joined the Agape Singers and Sheila began team-teaching the Senior High Sunday School Class. They were both in the last fall New Members Class.
For almost four years before coming to Columbus, Sheila was the Program Coordinator for the Base Chapel at Patrick Air Force Base, FL. There she managed a $300,000 budget for all ministry programs, recruited teachers and volunteers, provided curriculum training and development, led their youth ministry program and weekly religious education programs, coordinated community outreach events, and produced weekly bulletins for all chapel services.
Among other things in her past, Sheila has been the Enrollment Services Counselor for the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO and the Degree Counselor for Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, TX. She spent one of the best years of her life with Sean during his tour of duty in Seoul, South Korea.
Sheila and Sean have two daughters. Brittany is a Columbus State freshman who dreams of being a Contemporary Christian music artist (she sang a solo at the Family Christmas Eve Service), and Kathryn who plays in the Dublin Scioto H.S. band as a senior and is joining Pastor Mike’s team on the February Belize Mission Trip.
Sean will be retiring from the Air Force in three years and the family plans to make Columbus their permanent home. They live at 7566 Surreygate Court, Columbus 43235. Sheila can be reached at email@example.com
