Korean Congregation

One of the most difficult things in Campus Ministry is to say “Good Bye” to the graduating students and their families at the end of the school year. Our mission in campus ministry is to invite university students to our church, nurture them in the faith, and then send them out into the world as disciples and Christian leaders. More than 30 people have already left and more will leaving next month. Our mission in Christ has been accomplished, but we will miss them so much!

At the same time, we have the joy of meeting new students when OSU classes begin in the fall! This is a time to express radical hospitality in our multi-cultural ministry setting. Those Korean students already apart of our church family have been working hard at inviting and trying to maintain the new students in our church. We established four small cell groups for undergraduate students and three small cell groups for graduate students. They meet every Friday evening for worship at 7pm and then divide into their small group Bible studies and fellowship. We also have very active women’s and men’s groups. We are glad to announce that we have about 30 new students who have come to our church so far! Last Sunday our attendance was 115. Please pray that these new students will join the Body of Christ here at Bethel, enlarging God’s territory within the Columbus area.

We are excited about the Rally Day Sunday joint worship service on September 9 to promote small group Bible Study. We ask that you to would consider volunteering to be a Conversation Partner to one of our students. Spending an hour every week in easy conversation will greatly enhance their confidence in speaking everyday English.
