"We have been working with BLF Management and Brad Feldman for more than ten years, as Brad voluntarily partners with us as a check and balance for his association/non-profit clients. Therefore, we perform various accounting, tax, and reporting services for BLF Management and its clients. I am always amazed how Brad and the team can turn around organizations that have not received the attention they needed. I have not seen a situation where BLF Management’s involvement hasn’t resulted in an increase in net assets. Brad is very professional in his dealings with our firm and his clients."

Interim & Transition Services

BLF Management excels at transition management. As part of the association/non-profit management industry, it is absolutely critical to effectively assess a client's needs and guide them towards success. We do it quite well and pride ourselves on our ability to transition organizations so that they can be positioned for future goal attainment.

Interim Management for Stand-Alone Associations

Contracting with an association management company for interim/transition management is sometimes necessary to ameliorate the effects of incomplete or unstable leadership. Doing business with us allows organization leaders to assess the working environment, continue running the organization with effective and efficient daily operations, and gives them time to select the “right” staff leader to guide the organization.

In addition, by providing a day-to-day managerial leader while the personnel search is proceeding, Brad Feldman and BLF Management can handle critical, sometimes time-sensitive issues and projects with professionalism and experience. This continued implementation and administration will pave the way for the new staff leader to begin build the organization’s future rather than backtracking on old issues.

Why BLF Management

Brad Feldman and BLF Management bring objectivity and, as an experienced executive, a fresh perspective and new ideas to the organization. Transition Services for Managed BLFMAssociations/RFP Assistance

We understand and appreciate that BLF Management's association management services are not a "fit" for every single association. However with our AMC expertise, transition management abilities, and specialized attention, we are in a position that we can help your organization find its next "home".

Q&A

We hope that the following questions and answers will provide some important information on making your decision to use our transition services.

1. Can you help to find a new management company that fits us the best?  If so, how does this transpire?

BLFM: Yes, we can. We would work with the board to be able to focus on its goals and making sure its future management company is both aligned with the association and that it has the expertise available to do the job well. We would want to know what works well with your current operation and what doesn't, what resources are needed, and expertise that should be provided. We would then prepare the RFP, distribute it accordingly, and collect responses. We would then work with the board to narrow the choices and coordinate the selection process. All along with way we would coordinate this process very closely with the board and executive leadership.

2. How quickly can you step into the role of providing transition management?

BLFM: We are available as soon as you need us to be and are able to provide you attention you will desire.

3. How long do you think the engagement would last?

BLFM: Each association's needs are unique and thus timeframe can vary. An average would be three to six months to assist with the transition to a new association management company.

4. Can you help in the transition between the prior management/staff and a future management company?

BLFM:  Yes. How we can help depends the current situation and what issues might be currently present, if any. Our work could include being the conduit of information and assuring that key documents and information are transferred accordingly through an overall audit of information, and might also include implementing "hot" projects, events, etc to assure their success. We would see our role as an extension of the executive leadership, assuring that the best interests of the organization are being taken care of and that the current staff/management is providing the new association management company everything it will need to be up and operational.  You can view us as the eyes and ears of the board and its executive leadership, which can be a significant benefit.

5. How much is your average charge for these services, and how do you determine this?

BLFM: We would need to chat about this so that we are able to get a better grasp of the scope of work desired from the above questions. Typically we would charge an affordable hourly rate for this transition service.  We are very well aware of association budgets and have always strived to work within them. Also, please note that a percentage of each hourly fee is donated to www.amcinstitute.org.
