CSCA 2015 Convention - Registration now open!

It’s finally here! Registration is now open for the 2015 CSCA Convention in Madison, WI. To register for this year’s convention, please CLICK HERE .

As the program draft illustrates, even if you are not presenting at this year’s conference you will definitely want to attend. CSCA Vice President David McMahan and his talented team of planners really delivered on the “Convergence” theme, putting together many “can’t miss” panels featuring excellent scholarship, teaching enhancement, and career-building opportunities. Check out the program draft now if you haven’t already and make plans to travel to Madison today!

This year we have some new options on the registration form as well as many special events:

  • Notice that you will need to mark on the registration form if you want to attend any of our special events. These include receptions, the special night with the Second City comedy troupe, and the annual awards luncheon. Space is limited, so be sure to mark your choices so you can attend!
  • You will also notice two new options on this year’s form. One allows you to say “thank you” to the student workers who help to keep the conference on track by paying to sponsor a portion of a student’s registration fees. Another allows life and patron members to donate back the cost of their meal for the awards luncheon. Please consider these options if your budget allows!
  • We have two pre-conference offerings this year, one on Wednesday afternoon (“Engaging the Basic Communication Course as Our Disciplinary Foundation”) and another on Wednesday night (“Converging on Madison: Local Craft Beer Culture”). If you are interested in the craft beer short conference, which includes a tour of local breweries, be sure to register early. Space is extremely limited, and we expect these pre-conferences to fill up fast!
  • In addition to our wonderful array of short courses, this year we are also offering seminars. Similar to short courses, seminars feature some of the top disciplinary experts sharing their expertise – but these sessions are extended to accommodate the topic. With methodological seminars on meta-analysis and advanced qualitative research as well as teaching seminars about rhetoric/popular culture and "what every communication classroom teacher needs to know," there is something for everyone! Space is limited, so register early to ensure you have a spot.

Remember, you can also conveniently renew your membership while registering for the convention. Hotel information is also online. That information can be found on the CSCA hotel page.

For a full list of registration rates, please click HERE and sign up for this year’s convention! But hurry – these early rates are only good through March 15. After that time, prices will increase and no refunds will be allowed.

CSCA 2015 will be one for the record books. I cannot wait to see you there.

Thank you so much for being a part of CSCA,

Jimmie Manning
