The 2015 CSCA conference has considerable buzz surrounding it. The combination of innovative panels, a welcoming scholastic environment, and the fantastic site has resulted in record numbers converging to Madison, WI. The conference hotel is already filled to capacity and CSCA and for the first time in history, the conference has over 1000 participants.
The Media Studies Interest Group has incredible programming filled with established and emerging scholars who engage with some of the most provocative questions surrounding current media content, theory, and environment. MSIG has 13 panels programmed, including our Top Papers Panel (11 a.m. on Thursday) and our productive business meeting (12:30 p.m. on Thursday). These panels provide scholars with insights into their field as well as opportunities to meet new scholars.
Note that pre-registration ends on March 15, after which attendees must register at the conference without the discounted rate. I highly suggest registering today as well as finding accommodations. It removes the stress from last minute scrambling and allows for cost saving opportunities.
The CSCA conference is one of the highlights of my year and I am honored to be able to assist programming the event and acting as your chair. I really look forward to seeing you all in Madison.

- The Edgewater This is a premium hotel where rooms are likely to be more pricy. It is a viable option, however, and could be the perfect choice for those who want to add a little luxury to their conference experiences. Rooms start at $229/night. Please call 1-866-925-8704 for more details.
