CSCA - Undergraduate Honors Conference
Dr. Linda Dickmeyer named as 2011 Undergraduate Honors Conference Coordinator
Our conference program continues to grow and excel in quality at each annual convention and the executive committee works diligently to keep appraised of all of CSCA’s programs. However, many members do not realize that two of our most successful programs over the past years are the Undergraduate Honors Conference and the very popular G.I.F.T. panels. Both programs continue have experienced significant growth and the executive committee wants to thank all of those members who have played a major role in the vision of these programs; from the implementation of these programs to the current high quality of each of these programs. CSCA continues to remain committed to the support of both of these outstanding programs.
With the success and longevity of these programs also comes turnover in leadership of those who head these up from year to year. To ensure the successful continuance and implementation of these programs, members of the CSCA executive committee made a decision at the 2009 executive meeting in April that each year an Undergraduate Honors Conference coordinator would be confirmed/appointed by the executive committee.
The CSCA Executive Committee would like to congratulate Dr. Linda Dickmeyer from the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse for being appointed as the 2011 Undergraduate Conference Coordinator. Dr. Dickmeyer and her team have successfully organized the Undergraduate Honors conference for a number of years. In addition, in 2010 Dr. Dickmeyer was appointed the task of creating an Undergraduate Honors Conference Manual for future coordinators of the undergraduate conference.
This year, the CSCA Undergraduate Honors Conference will be held concurrently with the 2011 CSCA Annual Conference. The call for the 2011 Undergraduate Honors Conference will be available online in the next two weeks. We encourage faculty and universities to showcase their undergraduate work in this highly competitive conference.
