CSCA - September 2013 Newsletter/2013 Election Supplement

Well – the 2014 Conference in Minneapolis is going to be very exciting indeed! We are looking forward to lots of great ideas, lots of activities, and as usual, opportunity for lots of mingling with old and new friends! There is a reason why our members consider CSCA their “home” organization – we are a team in furthering each others’ careers, friendships, and genuinely care about each other! Conferences are such a good place to get energized, meet up with friends, develop networking, renew enthusiasm in research and teaching, and be part of an organization that is built upon friendship, scholarship, and opportunities.

Please carefully read the program when making your travel plans – we have the Friday night event at the “Mill” and are planning the Saturday dance with great food. The September Newsletter is available on line and has important information about the conference, the 2013 candidate statements, information about our annual election, and information regarding registration for the hotel.

With that in mind, let me direct your attention to some important dates that all members need to be aware of.

1)     Voting for CSCA’s slate of candidates will take place electronically. The voting period runs from October 1 to October 25, 2013. The link to cast your ballot will be placed on the Members Only page of the CSCA website. Members will receive and E-Bulletin announcing the opening of the balloting period. Upon receipt of the announcement, you will simply login to the Members Only page of the website, click on the ballot, select the candidate(s) of your choice, and submit the ballot.

Note: You MUST register and establish your user name and password before access to the Members Only page will be permitted. Follow the prompts under the Members Only tab labeled “Register”. Please contact Kathie Cesa, CSCA@kocmemberservices.com if you need assistance in registering. We encourage you to participate in this election as our officers represent you! For additional information about candidates, please read the CSCA 2013 Election posted on the CSCA Website (under Members Only tab).

2)     Finally, submissions for the 2014 CSCA conference are due on October  4, 2013. Information about the submission process can be found on the CSCA website (www.csca-net.org).

If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact me!
