CSCA 2015 Convention - Graduate Student Caucus - Call for Submissions

The Graduate Student Caucus invites all graduate student members of CSCA to submit competitive papers, extended abstracts, programs, and interactive panels to be considered for programming. This year we especially encourage graduate students to embrace the convention theme, Convergence, through a convergence of scholarship, cultures, and academic institutions as well as papers and panels that illustrate the importance of coming together and including all voices.

We welcome a variety of formats, including competitive graduate student papers, collaborative graduate student round table discussions, short courses, and spotlight sessions. To re-emphasize the spirit of convergence, we also invite you to contact us if you have an idea for sessions that will benefit graduate student members. Possible topics for papers and panels include: understanding the adviser/advisee relationship, preparing MA students for careers outside of academia, discussing funding and grant opportunities, how-to write successful funding applications, discussing matters of difference in graduate school. The list does not stop here though. We encourage submissions of papers and panels that reflect a convergence of voices within the caucus and across caucuses.

Quality scholarship and creative ideas are our main goal. In an effort to encourage collaboration among graduate students, we have developed a Facebook page to create space for brainstorming, planning, and networking. Please visit, join, and participate in the conversations about the upcoming convention at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/cscagradcaucus/
