2016 Interpersonal Communication Interest Group Call for Papers

The Interpersonal Communication Interest Group of the Eastern Communication Association invites you to submit your work to the 2016 convention to be held in Baltimore, MD, March 31-April 3, 2016. We invite program proposals and completed studies exploring any issue related to interpersonal communication.

This year’s theme, [R]evolution, provokes us to think about our discipline’s evolution and revolutions. With this in mind, competitive papers and panels focused upon the conference theme will be highly considered. Top papers will be formally recognized at the Interpersonal Communication Interest Group’s Business Meeting during the conference.

From Jason Wrench, Vice President of ECA:

“Following in the spirit of these [r]evolutionary events, I invite our collaborative consideration about [R]evolution in the communication discipline. Are the field, our scholarship, and our teaching best served by a series of slow, incremental changes, or is it time to promote radical, pervasive overthrow of the status quo?”

All submissions should be submitted electronically to the ECA Interpersonal Communication Interest Group Chair, Mary Toale, at mary.toale@oswego.edu by 11:59 pm on October 15, 2015 in a Word or PDF document file.
