Dear Intercultural Communication Interest Group Members:
Less than 4 weeks remain till the 99th ECA starts in Pittsburgh, PA on May 1. I hope you are all planning to be there, and have by now pre-registered for the conference, booked your hotel rooms, and made your travel plans.
This year, the Intercultural Communication Interest Group was able to sponsor all 8 panels that we submitted for programming. This is indeed great news for the future of the interest group.
I am attaching a document with this email that lists the specifics of each of these sessions. Kathie Cesa has kindly offered to have this document available as a PDF file accessible as a web link, for you to access when you need. Please CLICK HERE to view the file. You will also find this information posted on our webpage on th ECA website, www.ecasite.org. I hope you will show your support to the interest group by attending as many of these panels that you can.
In addition to these excellent panels, Anjali Ram, Chair of ICIG worked with Celeste Lacroix, Program Planner for Voices of Diversity to propose a Spotlight on Scholarship session honoring Ron Jackson. We have an impressive group of participants at this session, besides Ron himself. This is indeed going to be an great opportunity to learn about Ron's amazing contribution to this field. The session is on Friday, May 2, 5:00-6:15 p.m.
Our business meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 2, at 3:30 p.m. I hope to see you all there!
