ECA Ethics Policy

Draft Ready for Review

Ladies and gentlemen of ECA,

Kathie Cesa and I have been charged by the Executive Council to facilitate a discussion of ECA's draft ethics policy. During his presidency, Richard West formed an ad hoc group, chaired by Matt Smith, to begin work on an ethics policy that would address a variety of issues and practices and bring us to parity with other regional and national organizations. To ensure a transparent process of deliberation, we are distributing the draft to each member of the association. Interest groups are urged to facilitate discussions during their business meetings in Baltimore and to report the results of those discussions to the Executive Council through their Interest Group representative or through me. Groups may also choose to use the listservs provided by ECA to begin those discussions ahead of the conference. Any comments forwarded to me in advance of the conference, either by individuals or by interest group chairs, will be presented anonymously in an aggregate report, unless I am otherwise notified. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Alfred G. Mueller II, Ph.D.
