Vote on Interest Group Nominees for Centennial Scholar
Eastern Communication Association -- 100th Annual Meeting
April 22-April 26, 2009 -- Sheraton Society Hill, Philadelphia, PA
The theme of the convention is Defining Moments: A Century of Communication. The 2009 convention will include Centennial Scholar programming. A Centennial Scholar is someone who has made a significant and lasting impact on the discipline of communication, whose work has influenced other communication scholars, and who has (or had) a connection to the Eastern Communication Association.
Each ECA interest group may nominate up to three individuals as Centennial Scholars to be recognized at the 2009 convention. Each interest group will be allotted one panel to recognize their Centennial Scholar(s). Any scholar being nominated by more than one interest group will additionally be automatically nominated as a Centennial Scholar of Communication.
At the Pittsburgh Business Meeting the following four individuals were identified as potential nominees:
Anita Talyor
Darlyn Wolvin
Isa N. Engleberg
Roy Berko
Please e-mail your top two choices - with a brief rationale - to tmackler@mc3.edu by October 3.
Your comments on each nominee will help me prepare the Interest Group's nominations. (Each nomination must be accompanied by a brief rationale, not to exceed one page, explaining why the individual should be a Centennial Scholar of the Community College Interest Group.)
