ECA 2013 Convention - Community College Interest Group Reminders

Dear Colleagues,

It is almost time for us to gather together for the 2013 Eastern Communication Association convention to be held April 24-28, 2013, in Pittsburgh, PA.    If you haven’t already done so, you can register at http://ecasite.org/aws/ECA/pt/sp/p_convention_registration

Please join us for our annual business meeting on Friday, April 26, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Anchor.  In preparation for our upcoming meeting, the minutes from last year’s meeting along with an agenda for this year’s meeting have been provided for your review:

One item I would like to highlight is the call for nominations for the 2016 program planner for our interest group.  The primary responsibilities for the position include serving as the GIFTS program planner for the 2015 convention, attending the 2016 program planner’s meeting held during the 2015 convention, sending out the call for papers, coordinating the review of submissions, submitting program information to the convention planner, and running the business meeting.  You may send nominations for the position to sward@dccc.edu by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013.  Nominations can also be made during the business meeting.  Candidates for the position can expect to give a brief explanation about their qualifications for the position.
