(Submissions should come in two attachments of full proposals/documents; one with a page of full contact information and the second is the same document minus the identifying information– and with no identifying author, school, faculty, or contact information in the remainder of the submission; submissions format should be either .docx or .pdf)

REMOVE NAMES FOR DOCUMENT TWO (see below)

NOTE: Panels with participants from different institutions are preferred. Panels should adopt the convention theme by including stated efforts of how the panelists and audience will deliberate on the covered subject(s).

Include the following information (in this order):

1)    A title for the panel.

2)    Contact information for student(s)’ faculty sponsor(s) (NOT included on Document #2).

3)    Name of chair, if any (again, representation from different institutions is preferred); respondents will be selected by the USC Coordinators – do NOT assign these

4)    Names, mailing address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and institutional affiliation of all participants.

5)    The below Statement of Professional Responsibility

In submitting the attached paper or proposal, I/We recognize that this submission is considered a professional responsibility. If this submission is accepted and programmed, I/We agree to register for the 2015 ECA Convention, pay fees, and present in Philadelphia. I/We understand that presenters with last minute emergencies must make arrangements as possible for an alternate presenter as well as communicate their absences to both the Interest Group Planner and ECA VP; no shows will be removed from the official program.

6)    Program copy (a 75 word description) as it will appear in the final program.

7)    A detailed rationale for the program/panel that includes strategies to encourage audience participation and deliberation on the subjects covered

8)    Title and abstracts for each presenter’s paper or presentation. NOTE: On Document 1, if the paper/ presentation has multiple authors then indicate presenter with an asterisk. On Document 2, remove author/ presenter information and substitute in “University 1,” “University 2,” etc.

Submitted files from students (not faculty) should be formatted in a .docx or .pdf format NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 19, 2014 by 11:59 EST.
