In 2015, we will gather in Philadelphia to deliberate on research, teaching ideas, and investigations into communication. We encourage you to engage with us in all levels of the convention, including through the submission of your research papers or creative panel program.
Deliberation is the process where ideas are shared in groups then debated, advanced, molded, altered, and shaped into the foundation of our democracy. We strive in 2015 to honor the spirit of launching fourth ideas into a public space for deliberative consideration. Thus, our theme for 2015 is “Deliberation”.
Submission of Completed Papers
Individual submissions of complete papers should include the following elements:

Please send your submissions and/or inquiries to nicholas.scott.smith@wayne.edu, all submissions should be submitted as either a .doc/.docx, or .pdf file. Remember to strip all identifying information from your submissions, especially if submitting in .doc/.docx format. Remember, the deadline for submissions is October 15, 2014 at 11:59 PM.

Statement of Professional Responsibility
The following statement MUST be included on the abstract page of every submission of a paper or panel in order for it to be eligible for review. If it is not attached with a submitted document, the chair is responsible for obtaining one containing it prior to the paper/panel being officially programmed for presentation at the convention.
In submitting the attached paper or proposal, I/We recognize that this submission is considered a professional responsibility. If this submission is accepted and programmed, I/We agree to register for the 2015 ECA Convention, pay fees, and present in Philadelphia. I/We understand that presenters with last minute emergencies must make arrangements as possible for an alternate presenter as well as communicate their absences to both the Interest Group Planner and ECA VP; no shows will be removed from the official program.
