About ECA
History
The Eastern Communication Association was initially established in 1910 and continues as the oldest professional communication association in the United States. As a distinguished service-oriented organization with a history of achievement in research, criticism, communication theory, and excellence in teaching, the association welcomes members who share the goals and objectives of a membership dedicated to participation in state, regional, and national activity.
Historia
La Asociación Oriental de Comunicación (ECA en sus siglas en inglés) fue establecida en 1910 y continúa siendo la organización de profesionales en comunicaciones pionera en los Estados Unidos. Como una distinguida organización que da servicio con la historia de logro en los campos de investigación, critica, teoría de comunicación y excelencia en enseñanza, la asociación da la bienvenida a miembros que quieran compartir nuestras metas y objetivos dedicados a nuestra participación de la actividad estatal, regional y nacional.
