NAM Sues NLRB on “Ambush Elections”

On January 5, the NAM filed a lawsuit against the National Labor Relations Board  in U.S. District Court to stop the agency’s overreach on the “ambush elections” rule.

“With this rule, the Administration has made clear that it plans to pursue a partisan agenda to overturn longstanding and effective labor policy,” said NAM Senior Vice President and General Counsel Linda Kelly in a statement announcing the lawsuit, which featured prominently in coverage across the country, including The Wall Street Journal and The Hill. Other groups involved in the suit include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Retail Federation.

The NAM awaits a response from the NLRB and is committed to fighting this unwarranted regulation in the courts. Click here to view our complaint and here for more information about how manufacturers are pushing back on all fronts.

The Manufacturers’ Center for Legal Action will continue to engage in courts at all levels to oppose regulatory overreach and ensure a level playing field.
