The goals of this comprehensive two-day course are (1) to provide an overview of all content areas outlined by the National Board for Certification of Hospice & Palliative Nurses for the Certification Examination for Hospice & Palliative Nurses, and (2) to provide a study guide for nurses preparing to take the Certification Examination for Hospice & Palliative Nurses.
Completion of this review course does not guarantee the participant will pass the certification exam. However, the experiences of persons taking certification exams indicate those who complete review courses fare better as a group than those who do not.
The Certification Examination for Hospice and Palliative Nurses is now a computer-based exam. The test is offered during the months of March, June, September and December. More information and the application is available at: www.nbchpn.org.
