Director of Inpatient and Palliative Care Services

State of the Heart Hospice

At State of the Heart Hospice we have been providing exceptional and individualized care for individuals and their families since 1981. For 30 years we have been meeting the unique needs of those challenged with a life-limiting illness with our experienced team of skillful caregivers. By focusing on the family as a unit and addressing their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs, we are able to keep patients pain-free and comfortable. This approach allows our patients to add life to their days.

State of the Heart Hospice is proud to serve the following 12 counties in western Ohio and eastern Indiana: Ohio Auglaize Darke Mercer Preble Shelby Van Wert Indiana Adams Blackford Delaware Jay Randolph Wayne.

The Director of Inpatient and Palliative Care Services oversees all non routine hospice clinical patient services for the Agency. This would include Inpatient as well as Palliative Care services in a formal inpatient/hospital setting. He/she ensures that policies and procedures are being followed as directed by the Executive Director and the Department Supervisors.

The Director of Inpatient and Palliative Care Services supervises the Inpatient Clinical staff and the Palliative Care Nurses. The Director of Inpatient and Palliative Care Services is committed to the philosophy, goals and objectives of State of the Heart Hospice.


Applicant Requirements:

  • Ohio Registered Nursing license Hospice experience preferred
  • Inpatient and palliative care experience preferred
  • BSN required MSN preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
