9th Annual State of the Art Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine, will hold its 9th Annual State of the Art Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium from
7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Somerset Inn in Troy, MI.

The symposium includes nationally renowned physicians who will present the latest advances and future challenges in the field of GI oncology. The seminar will focus on the multidisciplinary approach to gastrointestinal cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, and will include case-based interactive audience participation.  The symposium provides an excellent opportunity to get answers to challenging clinical questions as well as information on cutting edge treatments and the latest in clinical trials.  Topics of discussion will include Neuroendocrine Tumors: diagnosis and treatment, the latest in radiation therapy for GI cancers, optimizing treatment in biliary cancers, and more.
