Karmanos Cancer Institute’s 10th Annual State of the Art Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium is October 17, 2015.

Karmanos Cancer Institute’s 10th Annual State of the Art Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium is October 17, 2015, at The Detroit Marriott Troy.

Our keynote speaker is Tanios Bekaii-Saab, M.D., who will present, “The Promise of Immunotherapy.” Dr. Bekaii-Saab is a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy as well as Section Chief and Gastrointestinal Oncology Chair of OSUCCC Gastrointestinal Disease Research Group at The Ohio State University – James Cancer Hospital.

Additional faculty members are Fadi Antaki, M.D. from the John D. Dingell Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center; Syed Ahmad , MD from University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute; Gazala Naaz Khan, MD from Henry Ford Health System; Mark Zalupski, M.D. from University of Michigan as well as faculty from Wayne State University and Karmanos Cancer Institute including Jeffrey Critchfield, MD; David Debono, MD; Steve Kim, MD; Peter A. Paximadis, M.D.;Nancie Petrucelli, MS, CGC; Philip A. Philip, MD, PhD, FRCP; and Anthony F. Shields, MD, PhD.

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., and the symposium will conclude at 2:45 p.m. The Detroit Marriott Troy is located at 200 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084.
