Full Time Oncology Biller

Royal Oak, MI

A busy, mid-sized, private Oncology practice in Royal Oak is seeking a full time, experienced Oncology biller.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred but not required
• At least 2 years of Oncology billing experience
• CHONC certification preferred
• Must be familiar with chemotherapy billing requirements

Duties include:

• Ability to prepare and submit CLEAN claims to various insurance companies.
• Ability to handle denials, high dollar audits and RAC audits
• Follow up on outstanding claims
• Ability to handle patient billing/questions
• Able to verify insurance prior to treatment
• Confirm patient demographic, and insurance information is accurately entered into billing system
• Confirm insurance verifications and authorizations as required
• Work with patients to secure any needed assistance from pharmaceutical companies and other assistance programs
• Other duties as assigned
