Full Time Medical Assistant

Royal Oak, MI

A busy, mid-sized, private Oncology practice in Royal Oak is seeking a full time, experienced Medical Assistant.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.  
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical health care setting in the MA role.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program

Duties include:

• Obtaining accurate vitals, med lists, weight on all patients.
• Able to handle a multi-line telephone
• Assist with medical procedures as needed
• Ability to perform phlebotomies
• Assist in office lab, as needed
• Able to converse with insurance companies and get pre-authorizations for imaging services
• Able to refill prescriptions according to doctor’s orders
• Give injections
• Other duties as assigned

Must be friendly, reliable, and compassionate.  This is a busy practice and the MA’s play a vital role in the care of each patient who comes through the door.
