Capitol Affairs Awarded MSHO Contract for Government Affairs Consulting

In keeping with MSHO’s Strategic Plan, a Government Affairs Consultant has been contracted to assist the Society with it’s advocacy efforts.  With the increasing need to be vigilant regarding decisions made in Lansing that could impact access to quality cancer care, we are confident that Capitol Affairs will keep us apprised of pending legislation, affiliated coalitions, and key policy makers.     Robert F. Kennedy, President of the government relations firm, emphasizes that “understanding of how the system works, knowing who the decision makers are and how to reach them and being prepared to act when opportunities arise are all essential aspects of dealing with public policy issues”. We look forward to having Robb provide our group with updates and action plans at future MSHO events.
