Omni Services logo

Omni Services is continuing its strong momentum into 2012, adding three new locations in the Northeast; Elmira, NY, Rochester, NY and Auburn, ME.  "Omni Services is a growth company and these new branches reflect both our orientation, and our ambition,” said Chuck Connors, President of Omni Services.

Natural gas is transforming the country's energy markets.  "With all of the Marcellus Shale activity going on these days, the Elmira location was a natural for us.  End-customers are acutely aware of the need for the absolute highest quality hose assemblies available and this need is right in our wheelhouse,” says Connors.  Upstate New York has long been a stronghold for Omni, yet the Rochester market remained a gap - until now.  Over the past two years, Omni has been operating a strategic alliance with Flex Enterprises, based in Victor, NY.  After decades of personal friendship and a concerted effort with the alliance over the period, the principals of both companies agreed that an acquisition made the most sense for everybody.  Omni acquired Flex in January.  Says Connors, "It was the next logical step.  Flex and Omni together had proven itself capable of operating as a great team on behalf of the local customer base.  We've been fortunate enough to post some significant new growth in the area and we look forward to the opportunity to earn more business, now as a single company."

Regarding the Auburn, ME location, Connors added: "Timing's everything.  When a business friend contacted me a couple of months ago about acquiring his MRO-Front Counter activity, we saw it as the perfect fit, at just the right time.  We've long had aspirations for entering this particular market and we believe our operating formula can make a real difference to customers in the area."  These new locations bring Omni's count to thirteen and significantly bolster the density of Omni's operating platform in the Northeast. Headquartered in Worcester MA, Omni Services, Inc. is a leading independent distributor of fluid conveyance solutions in the Northeast.  To learn more, visit www.omniservices.com.

PIRTEK logo

Jim Hart will bring hose and fitting replacement services directly to customer jobsites with his new PIRTEK franchise that opened on March 19, 2012, at 601 Airport Boulevard, Unit A, in South San Francisco, California.  Specializing in minimizing equipment downtime, mobile-based PIRTEK SFO will deliver top-notch efficiency and customer responsiveness to the "Industrial City."

PIRTEK mobile service technicians will arrive at customer locations within one hour of a call for assistance-ready to size up needs, remove failed hydraulic hose assemblies, manufacture replacement assemblies on location and install them, and make sure the customer's equipment is back up and running before leaving the jobsite.

Hart and his wife Ellen view the San Francisco Bay Area as a great location for their new business venture that will ensure that man and machine are not idled for long. "Silicon Valley hasn't felt the recession as deeply as other parts of the country," Hart says. "Housing seems to be stabilizing, an electric car assembly plant is going to be built in Fremont, and the 49ers are building a new stadium in Santa Clara. Overall, the economy is on the upswing, and we are coming in at an exciting time to support it and grow with it."

Service will be available around the clock by calling 1-650-532-9200.  The Hose Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to noon.
