New Member Profile: World Wide Metric

World Wide Metric 1World Wide Metric is a North American master distributor for CAST S.p.A. hydraulic fittings and hose, which includes adaptors (DIN, SAE, and BSP), hoses, and hose fittings.  In addition, they offer metric steel and stainless tubing, metric brass compression fittings, metric copper solder fittings, pipe flanges, and gaskets in DIN and JIS standards, pipe couplings (Grip and Flex type), repair clamps, and expansion joints.

World Wide Metric began in 1970 as a supplier to the Marine market.  Through the years, they have developed a broader product offering of metric components. Recognizing an opportunity to address the shortage of metric replacement parts available state side for foreign-built ships they began importing metric Japanese (JIS) and European (DIN) standard valves and flanges. Over the last 15 years, World Wide Metric has entered the industrial market and become more of a mainstream master distributor of hydraulic fittings and tubes. They currently offer over 50,000 products.

World Wide Metric 2World Wide Metric continues to specialize in metric products and maintains stock in four US distribution centers.  The majority of their fluid power components are produced in countries like Italy, Germany, Spain, Holland, Greece, and Turkey.  A smaller range comes from South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and China.

World Wide Metric joined NAHAD in order to become part of training and educational opportunities that will sharpen skills and help them become product specialists.  They also hope to grow and develop their business within the hydraulic hose market and NAHAD membership.

World Wide Metric is ready to fully utilize NAHAD programs, services, education, and events year-round to gain important competitive advantages to make businesses more successful every day.
