Making Meaningful Connections in Phoenix
With over 1,000 attendees expected at the 30th Annual Meeting & Convention in Phoenix in just three weeks, how can you best prepare yourself to standout in the crowd? Simple things mean a lot.
- Take a few moments to review the attendee list (posted at nahad.org and updated each Wednesday) – pay attention to customers, suppliers, as well as leads for future industry connections.
- Plan your days – set aside time for your most valuable connections and use email or a quick phone call to suggest a meeting time.
- Get your materials ready to go – up to date business cards, new product flyers and other resources. Don’t scramble to find things at the last minute.
- Use the new 30th Anniversary Convention APP (coming next week) to connect with other attendees.
- Whether you are an exhibitor or a Showcase of Hose Solution attendee, remember to fully engage with others – be alert for meaningful connections.
- Breakfasts, Luncheon and Dinner – these are also opportunities to network. In addition to the traditional cocktail receptions, be on the lookout for new faces at meal functions – have a seat with someone new and strike up a conversation.
- Give yourself a break – this is an ideal time to recharge and let new ideas flow. Enjoy the Phoenix sun and relax, renew and refresh.
