Throughout the year, the ongoing work of developing and delivering NAHAD member benefits and services is carried out by the association’s committees, comprised of member volunteers and supported by the NAHAD headquarters staff. Dozens of NAHAD members serve on these committees, ensuring that NAHAD’s commitment to its mission is secure, and working to undertake the many projects, activities and member services provided for the membership year round. NAHAD Executive Committee
Acts on behalf of the full Board of Directors between normally scheduled semi-annual Board meetings. The committee’s membership includes NAHAD’s President, 1st V.P., 2nd V.P., Executive V. P. and the immediate Past President. The committee conducts monthly teleconference meetings throughout the year in order to monitor progress and to ensure that all committees and task groups are addressing their annual action objectives.
The Executive Committee manages the nominations and elections process, under the leadership of the immediate Past President and guided by Board approved procedures, to recruit eligible members to serve on the Board of Directors. The committee assists NAHAD's executive staff in developing the Annual NAHAD Convention program, held each spring. Additionally, the committee works with the NAHAD staff to: develop the annual NAHAD operating budget; manage the association’s investment portfolio; produce monthly and quarterly finance reports; and, conduct the annual independent audit of the association’s finances.

NAHAD Manufacturer/Associate Members Committee
Providing a linkage between NAHAD’s Manufacturer and Associate members and the Board of Directors, this committee is charged with maintaining open communication lines between members, coordinating the assignments of tables at the annual Showcase of Hose Solutions - Contact Table exhibits program and developing the Manufacturer & Associate Council meetings, held as needed.For further information about this committee or to participate as a member, contact Joseph Thompson, Executive V.P.
NAHAD Membership Development Committee
This important committee reviews all applications for NAHAD membership and Hose Safety Institute membership, assisted by a three person review panel and eleven region captains covering the entire US and Canada. The committee conducts ongoing recruitment efforts, monitors membership retention practices and advises the Board on matters of membership policy and procedure. NAHAD Standards Committee
Charged with overseeing the NAHAD Hose Assembly Guidelines program and the Hose Safety Institute, this committee is responsible for managing the process of reviewing, updating and delivering the Institute Handbook and the online Fabrication & Design Guidelines for the use of Institute Members and end-users. The Hose Assembly Guidelines include Specification, Design and Fabrication standards for Hydraulic, Composite, Fluoropolymer, Industrial and Corrugated Metal hose assemblies.
Eligible NAHAD Members may also apply to become Hose Safety Institute Members, utilizing a variety of educational, training, employee recognition and marketing benefits designed to help members communicate their commitment to providing safer, higher quality, more reliable hose assemblies. The Institute Handbook enables members to have intelligent, collaborative discussions with customers, focused on hose assembly safety, quality and reliability, and not on price. NAHAD Training, Education & Services Committee
Oversees the development of a variety of member education and training activities and provides member discount business services delivered by NAHAD's endorsed Value Partners.
Educational programs include the monthly NAHAD TeleCONNECT e-seminars, sales training seminars and online Safety Training courses. NAHAD's Online Store offers publications, CDs and other resources availble from NAHAD, NAW and the NAHAD/AMAZON Store.
Through its support of industry collaborative efforts, including membership in the Association Education Alliance and the University of Industrial Distribution, NAHAD is able to offer valuable educational and training opportunities and access to important information and services, at greatly reduced costs to members.
NAHAD's quarterly Industry Trends Reports, the annual Distibutor Profitability Report and the bi-annual Cross Industry Compensation Report provide invaluable data to help run your business more successfully. NAHAD's partnership in the Industrial Careers Pathway (ICP) connects members with qualified job candidates.
