Position Broadcast & Emerging Media Specialist (Journey) - Master Control Operator Description BROADCAST & EMERGING MEDIA SPECIALIST (Journey) - UNC-TV, Research Triangle Park, NC seeks a Master Control Operator (MCO) to staff its Network Operations Center.

MCO is responsible for maintaining quality broadcast signals and performing station breaks (includes evening/weekend & holiday shifts). Position requires experience in a multi-channel digital broadcast environment. Computer operations proficiencies are required as well as the use of a video server system for playback and recording and also the operation of the broadcast automation system. Experience working with real-time satellite and non-real time program delivery systems is a plus.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate well with others and easily adapt to change in the work environment. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining logs associated with the position as well as assist in maintaining FCC legal compliance.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school and one year of experience in the specialized area(s) in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range: $26,761 - $58,009. Proposed Hiring Range: $26,761 - $35,000. On-line application process to be completed at uncgacareers.northcarolina.edu no later than Friday, March 21, 2014.
