WNCN, Media General's NBC affiliate in Raleigh, NC is seeking a dynamic storyteller with drive, passion, and big ideas. The reporter should have a polished live presentation, strong storytelling skills and some experience on the anchor desk. You must fully grasp our role as journalists to hold the powerful accountable for their actions and understand how to translate into relevant stories. The right candidate is a self-starter who will come to story meetings with lead story ideas and knows how to work "beats." This includes the ability to develop strong relationships with contacts that would lead to local enterprise stories. You will be responsible for all broadcast and web content and social media networking. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Candidates for this position MUST be strong writers. The ability to operate digital video cameras and use non-linear editing equipment and software is a plus.
