Assignment Editor /Social Media Producer

WCCB Charlotte is looking for an energetic assignment editor and social media producer to join our
team. The ideal candidate is someone who can multitask under pressure, develop sources, juggle
crews and resources, and has good news judgment.
You must understand the local news landscape and be able to recognize the news value in all the
stories pitched to the assignment desk each day.
A key function of this position is producing our daily social media coverage. That includes posting new content, creating videos, cross promoting and using new platforms. You will also write for our web channel, WCCBCharlotte.com.
Previous news experience is required.
