WLOS in beautiful Asheville, NC (market #37) has an immediate opening for an Associate Producer. This is an entry level position. We will train you to help in all aspects of news production. This is an excellent training ground for an aspiring produce. Duties include writing, answering viewer phone calls, making graphics, checking facts, and some editing. You would help monitor breaking news and tips, along with assisting with our digital strategy. The right candidate should show initiative and a positive attitude. You should have a knowledge of current events and a desire to learn. You should be familiar with broadcast writing. An internship in a newsroom is preferred.
