WFMY News 2 has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Production Assistant! The Part-time Production Assistant is an entry level, 20-25 hours a week position. This position is an important member of the behind-the-scenes operations staff and will be responsible for filling roles for live newscasts. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in television with a rapidly evolving company.
Brief Description

Operation of studio camera, teleprompter, and various broadcast equipment.

Edit stories for on-air and on-line.

Assist web department in posting updates to our various websites and social media.

Other duties as assigned.

A degree or work towards a degree in a related field is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and computer skills.

Flexible availability is essential. Position involves extremely early and late hours and includes weekends and holidays.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Basic knowledge of non-linear editing.
