WFMY News 2 has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Production Assistant! The Part-time Production Assistant is an entry level, 20-25 hours a week position.  This position is an important member of the behind-the-scenes operations staff and will be responsible for filling roles for live newscasts.  This is a great opportunity for someone
looking to begin their career in television with a rapidly evolving company. 

Brief Description

• Operation of studio camera, teleprompter, and various broadcast equipment.

• Edit stories for on-air and on-line.

• Assist web department in posting updates to our various websites and social media.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A degree or work towards a degree in a related field is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and computer skills.

• Flexible availability is essential.  Position involves extremely early and late hours and includes weekends and holidays.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

• Basic knowledge of non-linear editing.
