Position Assignment Editor
Description WXII-TV, the Hearst owned station and NBC affiliate in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a weekend assignment editor to oversee news coverage on weekends, assist with weekday desk duties and produce content for our digital platforms.  

Qualifications Requirements:

• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of major local, national and international issues.

• Must be familiar with the latest trends in social media.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with newsroom staff

• Must be able to work under deadline pressure

• Must be highly organized 

• Must be available for assignments on off-hours, including evenings, overnights and weekends

Education

• Four-Year College Degree or equivalent work experience 

Experience

• Prior newsroom experience, including internships for college credit
