WCNC-TV has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Production Assistant! The Part-time Production Assistant is an entry level, up to 29 hours a week position.  Schedule will vary; however, shifts will begin at 4a. 

This position is an important member of the behind-the-scenes operations staff and will be responsible for filling roles for live newscasts.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in television with a rapidly evolving
company.  

Brief Description

• Operation of studio camera, teleprompter, and various broadcast equipment.
• Assist directors and on air talent with daily news production.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A degree or work towards a degree in a related field is preferred.
• Master control experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.
• Excellent communication skills and computer skills.
• Flexible availability is essential.  Position involves extremely early and late hours and includes weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Basic knowledge of non-linear editing.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment.
