WCNC-TV has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Account Manager.  The Digital Account manages day-to-day responsibilities of key digital agency accounts with support team members and local sales management.  Provides an optimal customer experience by having a deep understanding of the company’s multimedia solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily interaction with existing digital agency client business; this responsibility includes maintenance of client schedules online in addition to implementation of special projects and promotions that may arise.  This position is the point person for digital agency interaction with the station.
  • Works in tandem with Digital Sales Manager, Research Director and Creative Services to develop sales presentations for existing and newly developed accounts/prospects.
  • Attends sales meetings and training to obtain sales, product and process information, and to keep abreast of company products and services in order to articulate to client, when appropriate.
  • Partners with DSM and LSM in the development of new business, specifically digital, as well adding incremental revenue from existing accounts managed.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes.  Creativity, flexibility, and ability to change with our industry are also keys to success.  Excellent communication and organization skills are a must as well attention to details.
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems independently in an effort to support the customer.
  • For assigned accounts, maintenance of contracts, generating avails and facilitating digital RFP’s, traffic, make-goods, collections, reconciliation (digitally) and overall customer service.
  • Regular tracking of client audience delivery using digital fulfillment records.  Facilitating performance reporting for clients while assuring accuracy of said reporting.
  • Coordinates with sales assistants and/or digital support staff to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry, and revisions.  Checks for and ensures accuracy.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of account management in a professional, fast paced sales environment.  New account development experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Creative and able to adapt quickly to change.
  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management.
  • A strong fundamental knowledge of digital marketing including Pay-Per-Click, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Advertising and Online Display Advertising required.
