Programming Utility/Media Sponsorship Specialist 

Full Time
Number of Months: 12 Months 
Proposed Date of Employment: 06/03/2013

Work Schedule:
Mon through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some evening and weekend hours as needed

Salary Band:
Commensurate with education and direct experience 
Position Summary:
In support of the overall Learning College the Programming Utility/Media Sponsorship Specialist maintains the digital music library, serve as contact for media sponsorships, maintain various music calendars, and provide support to various areas of the production and business operations of WNCW-FM.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide back-up to on air personality
2. Assist with Studio B set up, changes and tear down 
3. Create and update Live Music Calendar Script
4. Create, update and produce Outdoor Events Calendar 
5. Responsible for production of weekly Rhythm Theorem program
6. Assist with various production duties for station imaging
7. Conduct Studio B artist interviews
8. Represent WNCW at various community events and music festivals 
9. Build and maintain the digital music library within Audio Vault Automation System
10. Serve as contact for clients i in media sponsorships 
11. Execute contracts with clients on approved sponsorships and enter the order into the Visual Traffic System
12. Provide assistance to marketing department with updates in relation to programming and media sponsorship Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:
1. Develop an understanding and appreciation of the mission, history, current programs, services and goals of Isothermal Community College
2. Excellent, communication skills, both written and oral
3. Excellent Customer service skills
4. Skills in radio broadcast operations and public radio operations
5. Through knowledge of many various musical styles presented by WNCW
6. Knowledge and experience with Audio Vault Automation system for maintenance of music database, production, and on air use
7. Knowledge of Adobe Audition audio editing software and Visual Traffic Broadcast traffic system operations
8. Ability to work well with a variety of people and groups
9. Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
10. Ability to be self-directed and to complete work independently
11. Creative, flexible, and goal oriented
12. Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Associate Degree in related field or five (5) years direct related experience in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field with two (2) years’ experience in radio broadcasting
2. Experience with Audio Vault Automation System, Adobe Audition Digital Editing Software, Visual Traffic System and Microsoft Office Suite
3. Thourough knowledge and appreciation of all genres of music
