WXII-TV a Hearst Television owned station has an opening for a Sports Producer, Part-Time. Produce sports segments in our weekend evening newscasts and assist sports director with producing and content gathering assignments during the week. |
| Job Responsibilities: |
| • Produce sports segments and other sports content in nightly newscasts |
| • Deep knowledge of local and national sports, particularly the ACC, NASCAR and High School athletics |
| • Must be able to shoot video and edit on Sony Avid NewsCutter |
| • Communicate effectively with assignment editors, producers, reporters, photographers, editors production staff and news managers |
| • Be available for evening, weekend and overnight shifts |
| • Be able to fill-in as a newscast producer |
| • Have an understanding of social media and be able to produce content on our digital platforms |
| Experience Requirements: |
| • Internship in a television news department |
| • Familiarity with social media |
| Education: |
| • Four-Year College Degree |
