Hyung Joon Yoon
Dr. Hyung Joon Yoon’s mission is to inspire and promote individuals and organizations to build and realize their dreams. He is currently Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. He has served NCDA as the Business and Industry (B&I) Representative of the Career Development Facilitator Advisory Council (2010-2013).
He brings a unique perspective of cross fertilizing individual and organizational career development needs through his industry experience as an HR professional at an international level. Recently, he has been focusing on expanding NCDA’s Career Development Facilitator training to a wider population, including HR professionals.
His scholarly work is focused on empowering lives of individuals with human agency and hope. He has developed and co-developed career development models and assessment tools through research, including the Hope-Centered Model of Career Development (HCMCD), Hope-Centered Career Inventory (HCCI), the Human Agency Based Individual Transformation (HABIT) model, and the Assessment of Human Agency (AHA).
Dr. Yoon earned his Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development from the Pennsylvania State University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR), Career Development Facilitator Instructor, Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and Career Development Facilitator Master Trainer.
