What Gives Meaning to your Life?

Interviews by Sally Gelardin

Every month I ask industry leaders,"What are your values?"  "What gives meaning to your life?"

Pat Schwallie-Giddis, most recent past president of NCDA, responded to this question in her recent interview,  "I have to both work independently and work with others and to do something that brings about positive change."  The week after Pat's interview, Lisa Rueff, a Vinyasa flow yoga teacher, gave nearly the same response.

My next question is often, "What are you doing NOW that gives meaning to your life?"   The answers that I received from Pat and Lisa in their interviews were so inspirational that I asked Deneen Pennington, NCDA Executive Director, if I could share the audio recordings of their interviews with NCDA members.

Here are Pat's and Lisa's responses to what they are doing now that gives meaning to their lives (audios take a few moments to load):

Everyone has wisdom to share and I'd like to hear yours. What are you doing NOW that gives meaning to your life? Email your response to info@careerwell.org
