Dr. Angela Londoño-McConnell is co-founder of AK Counseling & Consulting, Inc. She currently is a spokesperson for the American Psychological Association public education campaigns and serves as the Public Education Coordinator for the Georgia Psychological Association. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses on career counseling and development and has helped numerous individuals with career and life planning matters. She consults with profit and non-for-profit organizations on staff development, productivity and person-environment fit issues. As a regularly invited speaker, she has addressed a variety of topics related to college student development, career and life planning, health psychology, and ethnic/cultural affairs.

Daniel Seddiqui graduated from USC with a BA in Economics in May 2005. But after going on over 40 interviews and receiving no job offers, he decided to try a different strategy - to set out on a journey across the US in which he would work a different job in every state. Daniel successfully completed that journey and has been featured in major media outlets nationwide and internationally. He is currently a speaker and tours the nation speaking to mainly younger university audiences about his experiences and learning. www.livingthemap.com

Laying the Foundation for Career Dreams
Career theories form the basis for career interventions. In this star-studded panel, representatives for five current career development theories will provide up-to-date information about their theories, and discuss how their theoretical approaches offer solutions to current career problems and issues. Panelists include:
• Dr. Janet Lenz - Cognitive Information Processing Theory
• Dr. Joe Johnston - Holland’s RIASEC Theory
• Dr. John Krumboltz - Happenstance Theory
• Dr. Gail Hackett - Social Cognitive Career Theory
• Dr. Spencer Niles, Moderator
Topics will include theory evolution, unique contributions as well as common ground, plans for theorydevelopment, how diversity and technology interface with theory and similar topics.
