Concerned About or Affected By the Sequester?

If your clients/students, programs or services are being (or will be) affected by the federal sequestration of funds, PLEASE contact your representative and senators and tell them how your programs or services are being affected, at a time when they are needed most.

An e-mail message is the most effective method of communication. To contact your senators, go to: www.senate.gov and you will find an alphabetical listing of senators. Click on your senators' names, and their website will give you contact information. For your representative, go to www.house.gov and you will find an alphabetical list of states with the names of representatives from the state. If you are not sure of the name of your representative, at the upper right corner of the website, you can insert your zip code and receive her/his name, then click the representative’s name and get the contact information.

Please inform our Government Relations (GR) Committee of your contact and the response you get by sending me an e-mail: enielcarey@aol.com. Our GR Committee will use this information in our contacts with congressional committees and federal agencies to strengthen the legislation and policies needed by NCDA members to provide needed programs and services.

If you are not an NCDA member, but are affected by the sequester and now in need assistance with a career issue, check the NCDA website to Find a Counselor or use the internet Resources links.
