New National Career Development Association President, Mark Danaher, Outlines Goals

NEW NATIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT, MARK DANAHER, OUTLINES GOALS

 

 

Cheshire, CT and Broken Arrow, OK – October 13, 2014 – The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is in new presidency hands with Master Career Counselor and Educator Mark Danaher leading the helm as of October 1st. NCDA, incepted in 1913 as a division of the American Counseling Association, is a non-profit organization aligned to support and guide those offering career services. Danaher’s storied resume and strategic goals for NCDA will take the organization to new heights.

 

I wanted to become President of NCDA to help spread the word about career development,” shared Danaher, extending, “One of my personal goals is to see more school counselors understand how they can access information and provide career development options and experiences for their students.” NCDA is a versatile organization with platforms for all facets of career development from K-12 and Veterans to Resume Writing and Career Coaches.

 

The past year while President-Elect, Danaher led comprehensive research and discussion in order to modernize NCDA, expand its brand, and grow membership retention. “My goal is to strengthen the recognition of NCDA, which will benefit our members and the field of career development alike,” said Danaher, adding, “I want NCDA to carry forward and execute its multi-faceted long-term plan with broad based member support.”

 

With an extensive history of leadership in educational career services including garnering a finalist position for Connecticut Teacher of the Year, Danaher has been an active NCDA member for nearly a decade. Despite the networking and professional development, Danaher most treasures the connection and support by each individual of its membership, “The one thing that has most impacted me is the willingness of NCDA members to help each other out. Members are willing to talk to anyone who approaches them. It has felt like a family,” remarked Danaher.
