Quality Reporting Guidelines for ASCs
CMS has finally released the PROPOSED guidelines that all Medicare certified ASCs will need in October related to quality reporting. While these guidelines have been anxiously awaited, this is just the first step in a process to obtain FINAL guidelines.
The guidelines set out how the program will work, how the data will be used and how ASCs will be rewarded/penalized for data submission and results.
The national ASC Association has developed an analysis - Quality Reporting ASCA - of the guideline and will also be submitting comments. The OAASC will be submitting comments as well.
