Regional Agronomy Sales Manager

CHS Member Cooperative in Fremont, Ohio

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large member cooperative to provide Selection Services to hire a Regional Agronomy Sales Manager for North-Central Ohio near Fremont.  This position is designed as a senior level role within the cooperative and will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Position Overview:

The Regional Agronomy Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to attract, select, train and retain a highly capable team of field sales people who represent the cooperative within assigned territories. This includes setting sales expectations, providing necessary resources to meet expectations of customers and aid them with outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with management, sales and operation teams to provide market/customer knowledge that contributes to the effective execution of yearly sales and pipeline establishment.
  • Listens to, leverages, and promotes diverse ideas, perspectives, and contributions throughout the region and the company.
  • Provide effective supervision, coaching and sound leadership with the intent of creating the conditions where field sales personnel can achieve sales success.
  • Develop and foster a culture of teamwork amongst all sales divisions and responsible for the execution of the Cross Sell Process.
  • Work with individual field sales personnel to foster relationships with key accounts, current customer and prospects, within the cooperative’s trade area.
  • Lead, direct and coordinate all activities involved with field sales activities.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training and performance commitments and evaluations to develop and control sales functions.
  • Field travel with sales personnel, providing coaching, feedback and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural with a preference in Sales Management training
  • 7+ years agricultural experience of agronomy sales
  • Must have basic math skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in managing budgets, managing teams and running a profitable enterprise
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
