OABA Staffing Updates

A lot of great things are happening in our industry and at the Ohio AgriBusiness Association. Our small staff does a yeoman’s job managing a lot of issues, activities and administrative contracts. To better reflect the work they do, I’m pleased to share the following changes at OABA:

Margo Long has been promoted to Director of Communication and Member Education for the association. Margo has served as our Education and Event Coordinator for the past year. In her expanded role, she will oversee our communications work through Wilt Public Relations. We recently retained Wilt PR to aid us in our marketing, graphic design and media relations work. She will also begin new duties as the executive director of the Ohio Certified Crop Advisers program in 2015. OABA has managed the Ohio CCA program since its inception. Ohio CCAs play an integral role in assisting farmers in Ohio, and we are proud to continue that connection.

Andrew Allman was recently named executive director of the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Certification Program. In this role, he works with the Nutrient Stewardship Council to advance the goals of the new voluntary certification program in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Andrew will continue in his role as the director of business operations for OABA, where he manages the association’s finances, membership data and members service programs.

Please help me congratulate these two on their new and expanded responsibilities. We’re all very fortunate to have them working on behalf of Ohio’s agribusinesses.
