Public welcomed to the largest plant nutrition research farm in the country

With 760 tillable acres, the North Central Research Station (NCRS) is the largest plant nutrition research farm in the country. This year, NCRS is conducting nearly 100 nutrient management experiments on 2,500 plots. AgroLiquid invites the public to tour the farm August 20th, 25th, 27th and September 1st, with the flexibility to join at any time throughout any of the tour days. During the tour, guests will have an option to visit demonstration sites spanning row crops, annual vegetables, and perennial fruit, as well as take a walk through agricultural history in our IQhub.

NCRS staff, Field Agronomists, Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizers employees, and exhibitors will provide updates and share their expertise on various topics, including the latest developments in crop nutrition, application technology, and innovations in today’s agriculture industry. One of the many spotlights will be the high-density apple orchard. The orchard’s newly constructed, solid-set, overhead canopy system will allow for better distribution of fertilizer applications and manageability.

The tours will have multiple demonstrations that take place at AgroLiquid headquarters, and at the NCRS. Parking will be available at the Corporate Office, located at 1130 South DeWitt Rd., St. Johns, MI. Transportation will be provided between the two locations (Office & NCRS). Tickets to attend the event are free. In addition to acquiring information on the latest developments in crop nutrition research and touring the premier plant nutrition research farm, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Earn Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Continuing Education Units

  • Network with ag retailers and producers.

  • Participate in Q&A with researchers.
