The Ohio AgriBusiness Association, in conjunction with the Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program, will sponsor a free “What to Do About Wheat” seminar Sept. 1 to help OABA members address wheat crop issues across the state.

The half-day seminar, to be held at the Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend Park in Findlay, will provide OABA members the opportunity to learn more about wheat issues that they can share with their customers, including the decline in wheat acreage, wheat quality and the long-term viability of wheat mills in Ohio.

Speakers and presenters at the event include:

  • Jay McAllister, Mennel Milling Co.

  • Pierce Paul, Ohio State University Extension

  • Natural Resources Conservation Service

  • Jim Howe, Star of the West Milling Co.

  • Chris Henney, OABA

  • Brad Moffitt, OCWGA

“What to Do About Wheat” will begin with breakfast refreshments at 8:30 a.m., with the program starting at 9 a.m. The meeting will end at noon with lunch for attendees.

Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for this event to guarantee a meal will be provided for them. Register at oaba.net/events or call 614-326-7520 (ext. 1).
