OABA Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Educational Trust Golf for Scholarships at Late Outing

This year’s Ohio AgriBusiness Association Educational Trust held its late Golf for Scholarships scramble on Aug. 19. Over 160 golfers came together at the Shelby Oaks Golf Club in Sidney to support the OABA Educational Trust scholarship fund.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event, the group recognized past honorees as well as honored this year’s honoree Daryl Gates. Click here to read about Daryl’s continuous dedication to Ohio agribusiness.

The Golf for Scholarships outings are the primary fundraising activities for the Ohio AgriBusiness Association Educational Trust scholarship program, through which nearly $35,000 in scholarships is provided to students enrolled in an agriculture-related field attending The Ohio State University and OSU Agricultural Technical Institute, Clark State Community College and Wilmington College.
